The Civic Health Assessment on which it is based measures America’s civic habits across a wide range of indicators in an effort to strengthen citizen participation in our communities, states and nation. The findings are based on research conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2008 and 2009.
With this rich set of data, leaders and residents are able to identify opportunities to increase and sustain diverse and new types of engagement and build tools and resources to meet community needs.
