Why the U.S. and the next President should make a new commitment to national service.”

Components of the plan include these:

  • Create a national-service baby bond,
  • Make national service a cabinet-level department,
  • Expand existing national-service programs like AmeriCorps and the National Senior Volunteer Corps,
  • And more.
